Dear All,
A couple of month ago I cut of some branches from my Figus Retusa bonsai tree. I keept the cuttings in water untill they started developing roots. I then planted them in a shallow pot. They are doing quit well.
I have a few suggested plans for them in the future:
- Either use them as new bonsai material
- Develop them long and graft them to my existing bonsais as aireal roots
- Use them to improve the nebari on my existing figus bonsai I did an airlayering of earlier this year.
I think I will keep "producing" these cuttings as they can be used in many ways in the future.
I will keep you posted.
